Land Acknowledgement Day – Honoring the Indigenous People of the California Coast

June 14, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Free
Wilder Ranch State Park

Join California State Parks’ Santa Cruz District at Wilder Ranch State Historic Park to discuss the importance of honoring the Indigenous people who have lived along the California Coast and Santa Cruz Mountains since time immemorial. All the parks in this state and country are on indigenous land and often that is presented as history rather than a present or future reality.  At this event, you’ll learn how native people are helping to guide and shape a more sustainable future today.  These events weave our communities together and seek to heal historic injustice suffered by indigenous people the world over.

The event will be in the Wilder Ranch Cultural Preserve adjacent to the interpretive center
