Journaling, Hiking, and New Ways to Enjoy Nature

June 16, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Come out and celebrate Health and Wellness Day with an Interpreter lead ~3 mile hike along the Miwok Loop Trail at Olompali State Historic Park.

Explore the diverse natural and cultural landscape of Olompali SHP, learn techniques for observing the natural landscape, how to start a nature journal, and ways to get the most out of your parks experience. This is a moderate hike with around 600 feet of elevation gain over its course. Though there will be numerous stops to rest, talk, and learn about the nature and history of Olompali.

For each participant layered clothing, sturdy shoes suitable for hiking and especially a water bottle are recommended. There are a limited number of water fountains on site so packing extra water is highly recommended.
